Kate Burrows wrote a lovely, heart-warming story, Repurposed. Claire was raised by her grandmother. Her grandmother passed away and leaves Claire a farmhouse that needs to be renovated.
Claire has been working hard to build up her own business in which she fixes up old furniture and sells them in her store. She is fiercely independent and it’s all due to the circumstances of her childhood. She has decided she can only count on herself in life.
She needs to hire help restoring her grandmother’s house. Help comes in the form of a hot, charming carpenter. Mason makes Claire rethink some of her reservations. I loved their chemistry. I felt like they had great banter. I always love when I feel like the characters seem real and are having genuine conversations.
Claire was such a lovely character. She had her hang ups but she really cares about people. I loved that she was a tomboy and could wield her power tools. Mason was charming and loved that Claire shared his love of building things. They connected really well.
This was a quick, delightful romance.
