I love reading romance novels and I’ve been doing a good bit of it recently. I’ve felt a little embarrassed by that fact and have had a sort of revelation…who cares? I feel like I fell a little into thinking that people may judge me based on that and maybe not see me as a real reader, but I enjoy them and I want to talk about them with people. So here goes my list of Romance novels I’ve enjoyed lately.
The Unhoneymooners by Christina Lauren
Whiskey Chaser by Lucy Score and Claire Kingsley
Sidecar Crash by Claire Kingsley and Lucy Score
Marriage for One by Ella Maise
Book Boyfriend by Claire Kingsley
The Baby Bargain by Crystal Kaswell
That Second Chance by Meghan Quinn
Roomies by Christina Lauren
Love and Other Words by Christina Lauren
My Favorite Half-Night Stand by Christina Lauren
I’ve really taken to Christina Lauren’s books. They are all fantastic. Where are all my romance readers? What are some of your favorites? How do you feel about reading romance? Does reading romance make you less of a “real” reader?

This Sunday I’m readingSidecar Crush (Bootleg Springs Book 2) by Claire Kingsley and Lucy Score.
“I tried to think of something—anything—to calm my raging hard-on. One wrong move and Leah Mae would rub up against it and that was liable to kill me dead on the spot.” — Jameson Bodine
Model turned disgraced reality TV starlet, Leah Mae Larkin, crash lands in her hometown of Bootleg Springs to lay low while a scandal threatens her career. She can’t shake the feeling that her agent—and supposed fiancé—manipulated her into the role of made-for-TV homewrecker. Connecting with her roots is just what she needs, and Bootleg Springs is home to her father, moonshine, and her childhood best friend, Jameson Bodine.
Only there’s nothing childlike about Jameson—a man who turns scrap metal into art and isn’t afraid to throw down on a rowdy Friday night with his brothers and hellcat sister. He might not say much, but still waters run deep. Seeing the ring on his crush’s finger? He doesn’t like it, but he can’t wish it away. No more than he can wish awaythe trouble his family is in, with evidence pointing to his late father in the cold case disappearance of Callie Kendall.
Jameson and Leah Mae arejust two friends reliving their summers together, blowing off steam, and having fun for the first time in a long time. But Leah Mae is realizing what’s really important in her life, and it isn’t what she thought.
And sometimes steam turns into sparks—hot as molten steel—and friends aren’tjust friends.
This is the final book in this Trilogy and it did not disappoint. Each book I have ended up reading in a day. I just cannot put them down once I get started. Wildenstein’s writing keeps me hooked. I feel emotionally connected to the characters and completely enraptured in the world that she has created. I love all of the twists and turns in the story. There couldn’t be a more perfect ending. This review seems a little harder to write and I would hate to spoil anything so I’ll leave it at this.
Here is the synopsis from Goodreads:
ONLY ONE CAN WIN.
Volunteering to duel alongside Liam Kolane against the ruthless Creek Alpha could get Ness killed, but the alternative, leaving her hot-headed Alpha to die alone in the dueling ring isn’t an option. Not even when he places ridiculous conditions on her, like not spending time alone with August, her intended mate.
Ness didn’t want a mate, but that was before August stepped back into her life, before he picked up the scattered pieces of her heart. Between their shared history and the magical tether that binds them, Ness finds herself falling dangerously hard for the sexy shifter.
But Liam’s heart is on the line. A heart that still beats for Ness.
Only one man can win her love, the same way only one Alpha can rise from the duel.
Let the fight begin..
Thank you to Twig Publishing for the free review copy. All opinions are my own and I do truly love this series. If you love books by Sarah J. Maas, I also feel like you would these.
